Bringing some inconsistency into the alpine

Welcome. My name is Kyleen, and I like to play outside. I’ve created this space to join the movement that is dedicated to shifting the balance of representation towards women and historically marginalized folks in the outdoors via art and storytelling. 

To me, Alpine Inconsistent speaks to the fact that it is okay to not always be doing something ‘rad’ outside, and that all experiences in the wilderness are valid. More importantly, I think that it also incorporates the idea that with white men as a default, or constant, in the outdoors, creating more space for women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ folks in the wilderness brings some inconsistency into the alpine.

So, this one’s for the girls, and everyone else who brings a little inconsistency into the alpine.
